 I have always had two passions: Acting and Photography. Equipped with a 110 Kodak camera and a household fan, I started my "career" at age 10 shooting my best friend a la The Red Baron. Around the same time I developed a fondness and an outlet for my dramatic side. Years later, I have honed both my skills in front of and behind the camera to compliment each other. As an actor, I realize the importance of a natural and realistic portrait necessary as an actor's calling card. After all, while a well-shot and pleasing photo is essential, it should never upstage an actor when s/he walks into a room. Likewise, it should never under score him/her either. This balance is what I strive to achieve.
The shooting environment for both fashion and headshot work is relaxed and safe. I like to take my time while shooting. Trust and ease brings out the personality in each of us. This is what I like to capture on film. It's no surprise that building a genuine connection with my subjects, even if it's only for a few hours, is the most important part of the process for me.
